salix.host is a small, community-driven Matrix homeserver. Salix is the Latin name for the willow: flexible, resilient, and rooted.

The goal is simple: give people an easy, generic, no-nonsense gateway into decentralized and private communication. You register with just a username. No email, no phone number, no data harvesting, no ads.

The server is currently hosted in Germany. If EU regulation ever threatens the privacy of its users, it will move.
